Becoming a Part of Our Farm
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a relationship between our farm and you as our customer. Rather than simply purchasing food, our customers become “members” of this CSA farm who receive a portion of the farm’s harvest.

Our Main Season CSA share runs for 17-18 weeks (depending seasonal weather changes), from June to September.

Our fall share contains 4 large shares, and starts 2 weeks after the main season share ends – October and November. Members are responsible for picking up their share of freshly harvested produce each week at the farm or at the drop off site of your choice.  You will receive 10 – 18 different varieties of vegetables equivalent to one grocery bag of produce, with larger amounts during peak season.

Our Growing Practices

Shepherd Moon Farm provides the freshest, healthiest produce possible at a fair and economical price. We use sustainable farming methods using composted animal manure, green manure crops and mulching to build the soil. We practice crop rotation, are primarily no till and do not use chemicals. We are not currently certified organic.

The chart below outlines some (but not limited to) of the vegetables we hope to deliver and when you may see them in your share. This chart is based on our best estimate, but of course weather, pests, and other events can affect actual production.
